The 2008 LR3 reflects Land Rover’s dynamic design with smart and spacious interiors and an abundance of advanced technologies. This midsize SUV is available in two trim levels, SE and HSE.
Power and Performance
The LR3 is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 that pumps out 300 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. When properly equipped, the LR3 can tow up to 7,700 pounds. By utilizing advanced and “intelligent” technology, the LR3 can adjust its gear-shifting characteristics to how you happen to be driving at that moment.
Body and Styling
The LR3's unique twin-pocket headlights light the way for exploration. Molded bumpers create a distinct aggressive look and integrated fog lamps add style and assist in inclement weather.
Step inside and the cabin features premium materials and thoughtful refinement everywhere. Brunel metallic highlights draw the eye to the center console and end caps of the instrument panel. Special Nobel Chrome plating accents the climate-control vents, gearshift lever, and glove box handle. Finally, an ebony-hued central panel completes the design.
The SE model comes with 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, a tilt steering wheel, a fixed rear sunroof, and a power tilt-and-slide front sunroof.
Bi-xenon headlights, front parking sensors, voice-activated trip computer, Bluetooth, a center console cooler box, and a DVD-based navigation system are standard on the HSE (optional on SE). The HSE model also comes with 19-inch wheels, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound system, a power-tilt steering wheel, a nine-speaker stereo with an in-dash CD changer, and an auxiliary audio jack.
Safety Features
Standard safety features include traction control, anti-lock disc brakes, hill-descent control, and stability control with rollover mitigation technology, front-seat side air bags, and three-row head curtain air bags. Rear parking sensors are included on all LR3 models, while front bumper sensors are standard on the HSE and optional on the SE.
